What's On My Person¶
There are times that I am not able to get easy access to my trusty backpack, so I make it a point to carry a small, but meaningful, number of gadgets with me at all time to allow me to be productive on the go.
Samsung Galaxy Tri-Fold (512 GB/Unlocked)¶
Samsung Z-Fold 7 (512 GB/Unlocked)¶
Although my Samsung Galaxy Tri-Fold is currently my daily driver, I do still hold onto my Samsung Galaxy Z-Fold 7 as a backup. I currently have a Visible by Verizon eSIM paired with this phone so I can use it as a backup phone provider if my primary T-Mobile service has a outage as VVisible by Verizon uses Verizon's network.
Most of the time, my Samsung Galaxy Z-Fold 7 stays on my desk and is used as a test phone for some of the Android development projects I have been working on. I do occasionally throw my Samsung Galaxy Z-Fold 7 when on road-trips in case I am ever in a area where T-Mobile lacks service.
Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra 2025 (64GB, 47mm, Unlocked LTE)¶
I am currently wearing the 64 GB Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra 2025. While this may not be the latest release of the Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra, it certainly still is a high-end smartwatch that lasts me several days between charges. I currently have no plans to upgrade to the 2026 version.
Feitian K26 Fingerprint U2F Key¶
Security is very important for me and I do use 2 Factor Authentication whenever possible. I carry the Feitian K26 Biometric U2F Key. This not only prevents account takeovers by malicious attackers. Unlike other MFA Keys, this introduces biometric features so it only works with my fingerprint. Since the Feitian K26 Biometric U2F Key is a USB-C security key, it works on all of my devices including my Chromebooks, Laptops, Tablets and Phones.
Samsung Galaxy Magnetic Wireless 5,000mAh Battery Pack¶
I may give Apple a lot of hate but I have to admit that MagSafe was one of their better inventions, this of course is built on the Qi 2 standard. Many of Samsung's newer phones can support MagSafe chargers with the purchase of a case with a embedded MagSafe ring or via attaching a stick-on MagSafe Ring. As I do have a case with a MagSafe ring, I carry the Samsung Galaxy Magnetic Wireless 5,000mAh Battery Pack battery bank in my pocket.
This battery bank is far from perfect, it is always on when it is attached to a phone so I normally keep it in my pocket and only attach it when needed. I do hope that Samsung eventually releases a version that only turns on when needed at some point.
